Coloring Eggs...
We had more fun than it shows in these pictures :) The first batch of egg dye didn't come out quite right. It was an off brand and I also used white wine vinegar, could have been one of these reasons but the colors just were not right! Connor and I made a quick run to the grocery store for new Egg dye. This time around we stuck with PAAS, the good and familiar. We also picked up a few Easter goodies.. Peeps, chocolate/marshmellow bunnies, etc.. now we were ready! We also listened to a PBS special on John Denver while we were doing our eggs. I always forget how much I like him.
Easter Morning.. Alex came in around 6am dragging Connor behind him. Both looked very tired but Alex was anxious to check out his Easter basket. Connor wanted to go back to bed. I told a disappointed Alex to give us until 6:30. They went back to bed. Of course then we were awake but it was nice to relax for a few more minutes. And yes they are wearing the same clothes they had on the night before!
Mark made Biscuits and gravy for breakfast and the boys got a little silly at the table...
We actually had a lot of fun hiding and hunting Easter eggs... We did several hunts, We all took turns hiding and hunting. We even had some timed contests. It's been a long day and it's not even lunch time!
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!!

Art with pennies
The other day Alex asked if he could have some of my pennies to donate at school for a contest they were doing called "Pennies for patients" or something like that for cancer. anyway I said sure just go through my change "bucket". The two of them spent the longest time sorting through pennies finding odd ones and ones with specific years, they discussed and traded etc... I was amazed at how they could entertain themselves with just a bunch of pennies. (If only I had known that before we purchased all those video games haha). Anyway, later in the day I stepped into their room and almost stepped on this.
This just in... Connor had been sleeping behind me as I was typing this, at least I thought he was asleep. He asked me to "read it out loud so he could make sure my facts were correct (oh boy) so I did. The correction is that they were watching "River Monsters" while sorting pennies and HE and HE alone was inspired to do this. I'm glad we got that cleared up. ****YOUR WELCOME CONNOR****

Teenagers say the darndest things!
The other day Connor said something really strange.
Right out of the blue he said...... "Mom, can I get a haircut?"
I must have looked confused because he repeated it again.
I even repeated it back.. Did you say you would like to get a haircut?
Yes. I can definitely arrange that :)
I said, "How about now?" So Isprinted I mean walked calmly to the car and raced
I mean drove responsibly to the nearest Sports Clips.
I was so happy that we went to Yogurt Land afterward to celebrate.
So here is a picture of my handsome boys..
Sorry it's a little blurry, I took it with my phone.

It's a Zoo around here!
I was "working" on the computer in the house Saturday evening when I heard a faint, far away "MOM!"..... "Moooooooooommmmmmmm!!"
I looked out the window and there was something in the tree! I couldn't quite make out what it was, so I ran downstairs and sure enough...
There were a couple of wild monkeys up in that tree.
And one of them was calling my name.
Yep.. it's a Zoo around here.
I am participating in Jenny Matlock's Alphabe Thursday.
