Random thoughts and catching up...

I just haven't had a lot to write about lately so I thought I would just catch up a bit...

Alex is on his 2nd week of Spring Break and enjoying spending time with friends.

Connor was off last week but back in school this week.. and ever so excited about it (not)

Connor is going to be in the Spring musical at school!

Mark is feeling more like himself everyday!

We went to a Nuggets basketball game Friday night and the boys had a great time. I realized we need to get out more. Seems like we've almost been in hibernation these past few months.

Connor is a bottomless pit! He is eating us out of house and home but never gains weight, just keeps getting taller. He's actually taller than Mark now but don't tell Mark, I think he's in a little bit of denial :)

I really need to start taking more pictures again!

Alex was invited to a birthday party yesterday but when Mark showed up to drop him off, no one was there! I guess it was cancelled but they forgot to tell us... Who does that? haha

Working full time sure cuts into my blogging and reading time! (but as I always say...I'm thankful) most of the time, lol

I am really excited for Spring and Summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's on your mind today???

Random thoughts

You may have noticed I haven't been posting very much. I know you've probably missed my insights and revelations terribly (ha). I go through spells where I just can't put a good thought together... KWIM? (I learned that from my fellow blogger friend Anita yesterday).

So here are some things rattling around in my brain...

Summer is coming. We have kind of a wacky schedule because Alex is in year around school and Connor will be traditional (middle school) hard to believe. We are looking forward to Caitlyn (our neice) coming on the 24th and Tamara, Mike and Lila on July 1st. We get to meet our precious Lila for the first time! We are counting the days.. literally because Alex keeps asking "how many days?"

The boys don't get out of school for another week and a half or so but we are already feeling in summer mode. We haven't done our nightly reading in several days and we've been letting the boys stay up later...

BASEBALL, baseball and more baseball. We are into baseball now. Alex has it on M & W and Con T & TH through July. Yes, that's 4 nights of baseball in a row. They are just practicing right now. I am looking forward to the games but I have a feeling by the end of July we will be ready for it to be over.. then into Tackle Football mid August. (Makes my stomach hurt just typing that). I have to make peace with it. Pray for me :-)

We love our new little puppy Max but remember my blog about the PPB . I think I'm babied out. You heard it here first NO MORE BABIES... until I have grandchildren of course :p.

Well that's about all I have..

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Random thoughts

I can't seem to put a good post together so here are a few things rattling around in my brain...

Why does my belly button still hurt? (that's where they put the camera during the surgery)

I miss my quiet hour of computer time in the morning before the kiddos wake up. (Now I'm puppy training)

It would be so much easier to puppy train if the snow would go away but looks like more is on the way.
From Snow days

Need to think about getting Easter Basket stuff.. have a few things but need a few more.

Should I give up on the 1000 pc puzzle I started and worked on after my surgery when I didn't feel like doing much else, not getting any help from the boys and it's taking up the whole coffee table. Also it's parts have been knocked off more than once onto the floor.

No I think I will keep working on the @%#* thing! I'm not a quitter. It's now officially a quest!

I am scheduled to volunteer in Alex's class today. Has the "I had surgery" excuse expired? Could I use it today? No, I would feel too guilty. Darn.

Time to stop winging dinner.. need to get back to planning meals, not in the mood but makes life easier. Hard to plan when I don't have much of an appetite. Isn't that selfish??

Speaking of appetite.. I think it's the first time in my life I haven't had an appetite. Maybe they accidently took it out with my gall bladder.. :0

I can't believe I was up with a crying puppy at 12:30am. What have we done??????????

Skylar (the new puppy) is wonderful and I'm glad we have her but as everyone knows it's a lot of work. My "baby" is 8 so I've kind of forgotten what a newborn is like. Oh yea, now I remember, no sleep and cleaning up lots of poo.

But look at that face :)

My favorite show (Gray's Anatomy) is a dang rerun tonight!~

Need to schedule boys haircut........ grandma commented on their "long" hair she saw on the blog. They like it long and that's fine but needs a trim.

I hope Alex's teacher doesn't want to "discuss" his and other boys issues playing basketball at recess. Although I will have had more coffee by then and may be able to have an intelligent conversation. Or, I could use the surgery excuse, or maybe the "we have a new puppy" one :)

I hope Connor's teacher finds the $50 lunch money check I sent. I called the lunch lady yesterday and explained the check was "in the classroom" somewhere. I bet she never heard that one before. I know she has a hard job and I wouldn't trade places with her for anything, and would probably be grouchier than her, but I can't help but think of the "SOUP NAZI" from Seinfeld when the kids talk about her. "your acct is negative $3... NO LUNCH FOR YOU!

SHOOT! It's my turn for puppy duty again.. gotta go!
