Flashback Friday 2002

I know Christmas is over but I was catching up on my Christmas Scrapbook album and came across this Christmas. We were living in Orlando, Florida. We lived next door to Susie and this Christmas was so fun. We loaded up a wagon of presents on Christmas Eve and the boys pulled the wagon over to Grandma's. You can see in one of the pictures the boys are saying "hohoho". Alex was 2 and Connor was 4.

You can click on the picture to make it bigger.

Flashback Friday/Christmas's gone by...

Christmas 2001. Connor was almost 4 and Alex was a little over a year. There's those little vests again. I wish they could still wear them. Maybe I could find some like them. I'm sure they would be just tickled pink to wear them for me. I can dream can't I?

I believe this was Christmas 2003. Connor would have been 5 and Alex 3.

Dinosaur Exhibit

I didn't want to title this blog with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science because I figured you might not read it because we've had so many of those! It IS one of the boys favorite places to go (at least it's not the aquarium, even I would have groaned at that one) If I have to walk through and look at those fish ONE MORE TIME.....haha I guess it is good that they love museums.. better than playing arcade games..etc. Anyway I'm trying to destract myself from the Bronco game. They have been dissapointing lately, hopefully they will get it together soon, let us pray.............. just kidding (kind of). Not sure why they are playing on a Thursday..? Anyway the museum has a new temporary Dinosaur Exhibit. Mark had taken the boys a couple of weeks ago when I was sick but we all went yesterday because of course Mom had to see it. (I love that they want to share)... The boys were having fun in some of the exhibits video taping each other talking about the exhibit. You can't hear them very well but I will try to post them.

Aren't Sunday mornings great??

Mark left early Sunday morning and I slept in. I woke up and walked into the living room and this is what I found. Obviously they are still waking up but I thought it was sweet that they were sitting together. Connor didn't want me to take this picture so he probably won't like me posting it but I couldn't resist.

Sunday

We had a good Sunday. It was really nice outside. The boys played outside all day. They are pretty tired now. Mark and his Dad worked on the minivan (our catering vehicle) for several hours today. It's really too old to put very much money into, but we are trying to "limp" it along. It's 10 or 11 years old and it has been a good vehicle for us. It's just wearing out. Mark is very tired and I'm sure Dad is too. Thanks for your help Dad. I know Mark really appreciated it!

One of the things the kids did today was play on the trampoline. They wanted to turn the hose on and spray it, which is something they do in the summer but it wasn't quite warm enough today. Our neighbor/friends were over too. They all really wanted to get wet so I ended up using warm water in buckets and pouring it down on them from the deck. They all loved it but were soon cold and wanted to put dry clothes on.

Thursday..

Well, it's the end of the school week for the boys. We have parent/teacher conferences tomorrow, so they have Friday off. They both have spring fever so I hope it warms up soon. It was cold today and snowed a little earlier.

They both have there last basketball game of the season this Saturday. They have really enjoyed this season. They bonded with the other boys on their teams and had good coaches. I will not miss driving to Parker 3 times a week but it really hasn't been that bad. Usually whenever one is practicing the other does homework so it worked pretty well. Also thier games have been back to back every Sat., Alex at 9:00 and Connor at 10:00.

Last night the boys wanted to put out Easter decorations. At first I thought I would help but they were having so much fun I just let them do what they wanted. They actually did a really nice job. (they got a little silly, see slideshow).
