Alex's Science Fair Project

Alex always loves doing a Science Fair project, even though it's optional. This year Mark came up with the idea of a Dry Ice Experiment. Alex did it with his friend Korey. It actually turned out really cool and they had a lot of fun with it.

You may remember in years past Grandpa has helped Alex. This year Grandpa was out of town but we and by we I mean Mark managed to pull it off. See Alex's other Science Fair projects HERE and HERE.
Also one of Connor's HERE.

Connor turned 14!!

In February... better late than never right??

It just so happened Connor's birthday fell on a SNOW DAY!! So he didn't have to go to school. He invited a couple of friends to go out to lunch with and later came over to enjoy some cake. Mark found this Cookie Monster cake and couldn't resist. You may remember Connor's 12th birthday when he got a Cookie monster hat and everyone tried it on. He has grown so much since then.

I can't believe he is 14 years old!!

Colorado Wildfire

In case you haven't heard, we have a wildfire burning in the mountains. It started a few nights ago. Connor and I both took a couple of pictures.

I took this one of the sunset on the first night of the fire.

This one is from our house also.

Connor took this one from a friends house. He took a few more similar to this. He claims his pictures are better than mine but I beg to differ. Mine of the sunset is pretty awesome and I told him so. We agreed to disagree.

Spring Skiing!

It's been a while since we've skied, at least 2-3 years. We went up to Copper Mountain on Friday. The boys did great. They hadn't forgotten how,  and neither had Mark or I, haha. It was a beautiful sunny day. The boys ended up in just t-shirts by the end of the day.

Here are a few pictures from the day...  the boys really did have a great time despite the fact that they aren't smiling  in any of  the pictures. Guess it's not cool to smile these days :)  Anyway I've learned to just "go with it" so snapped a few.
