My Birthday

Well I added another candle to my birthday cake this week....

We celebrated by going to one of my favorite mexican restaurants

We were saranated by a harpist who called me "Senorita" :-)

We went home and enjoyed ice cream cake!

A few scenic pictures....

I took a few pictures a couple of weeks ago. We were up above Idaho Springs visiting a friend. It was such pretty scenery I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures.

I am participating this week in Jenny Matlock's Alpha-be Thursday Rainbow Summer school.

This week's color is Yellow......

I have always dreamed of living in a yellow house.

A quaint little house with white trim and of course a white picket fence.

Add in a few creamy yellow daffidils that have burst through the earth ignoring the fact that there is snow still lingering from the last winter snowfall.

And of course some Bright, cheerful yellow tulips, making their fleeting appearance... always gone too soon.

Yellow sunflowers crowding around the wooden fence in the back yard each stretching and reaching their faces toward the yellow summer sun.

Sprinkle in a few dandelions popping up in the yard.

Oh wait...what is that cold wet sensation. Is that our loyal yellow lab sniffing around? Nope... It's our little Italian Greyhound and he isn't yellow.

A trip to the Air Force Academy

I'm catching up on some of our summer doings..... a few weeks ago when we were staying at the hotel we decided to take a trip down to the Air Force Academy. It's only about 45 minutes from us and we had never been.

The chapel was my favorite part, it's in the background

Inside the chapel..isn't the glass beautiful?

Alex baseball summer 2010

Alex had a great time with baseball this summer. He got the opportunity to pitch a few games and he loved it. He has quite a fast ball. He also was an awesome first baseman. Some games he got so many kids out I started to feel bad..haha (guess I'm not really cut out for sports). His team was the Diamondbacks and Mark got to be assistant coach again. Connor helped out a lot and had the unofficial title of "assistant to the assistant coach". (For those of you who watch the office you get this little joke).
