Science Fair Project

Alex, with the help of Grandpa finished his Science Fair project and displayed it last Friday. He was very proud of the fact that this was his first individual (all by himself) Science fair project. He had done them in the past with a group.

When we first heard that he wanted to do a SFP (it wasn't required this year) we did what we always do when there is a Science project in the works. We called Grandpa. We know that he always has the best ideas.

He came up with the idea of a "Hot Dog Cooker" or "How to cook a hot dog using electricity." It was a project he had done with Alex's aunt Monica many years ago. He actually still had her poster board display and the most of the parts for it. Alex thought it was pretty cool that Aunt Monica had done the same project when she was little.

It went over very well. Alex said he was getting "squished" by all the kids surrounding him and his project. I think the smell of a cooking hot dog might have had something to do with it. They each got a little sample.

Here are a few pictures of him working on his project.

I'm amazed that Aunt Monica had done the same project and still had the display...and knew where it was. Very organized!

I bet the smell of hot dogs cooking probably helped to attract the crowd. :) If your boys are like mine, they will eat just about any time.

Alex is starting to look little like Connor! It has been too long since I have seen these boys! That project looks way cool and I think I can smell the dogs too!

We are in the middle of Science Experiments right now. Something with yeast and food deterioration. I love the hot dog cooker!
