Julie

My sister Julie had triple bypass surgery a few days ago. She came through it pretty well but she is still very weak and will have a long recovery. She spent several months in the hospital last year and ended up have a leg amputation. She is quite a trooper and one of the strongest people I know. She has been a real inspiration to me and many people who know and love her. But as she told me a couple of days ago she's "tired of being strong" I don't blame her.

I would appreciate anyone who could send a positive thought and/or a prayer (or two) her way. She can use all the good thoughts and prayers she can get. Thank you!

We are pulling for you Jul, and we love you very much.

She certainly is strong! I can understand why she would be feeling tired at this point.

There is a prayer we say at our house that goes like this:

There is one Life,
That Life is God,
That Life is Perfect,
And that Life is Julie's Life.
RIGHT NOW.
I let go and let God.

We will be saying it often and sending positive healing thoughts to Julie.

You, dear Bonnie, are the strongest woman I know.

Thank you all so much. You made me cry. Love the prayer Becky. I'm going to use that myself. I truly believe that sending prayers and good thoughts someone's way has to help but in the end of course it's out of our hands.

Bonnie - I am so sorry your sister is going through so much. It is hard to stay strong. You get tired and you look up and say "I'm tired, can this be strong enough now?" There are no good words for all that she is having to bear. There are only prayers and thoughts sent by others. I know she can feel that and take comfort in the sincere hearts of her family and friends as she journeys on. Julie, you will be in my prayers; everyone who knows and loves you will be strong for you.

Maria, thank you so much for your comment. I almost didn't post about my sister because it seemed kind of private but I'm so glad I did. I didn't realize how comforting it would be to know people care and understand what you are going through, and are sending good thoughts and prayers our way. I am hoping to talk to Julie tomorrow and I am going to let her know.
